There's a place in my mind No one knows where it hides And my fantasy is flying It's a castle in the sky
Among the flowers laid the girl with raven black hair, sleeping peacefully. Yunneth had found a patch of clovers and small, blue flowers to rest on. A book was in her hand, so perhaps she was writing or reading before she fell asleep. Once thee new hour was made, the bells from the church could be heard through out the town. The sound of the bells woke Yunneth from her sleep. The girl groaned before pulling herself up from the ground.
"...time...What time is it?"
She asked herself before pulling out the small flip phone. It was now midnight. She had been here five hours.
"...That's right. I came here around twilight. I was supposed to leave at dusk but..."
Yunneth sighed, closing the leather journal and placing it in her bag. She took the time to brush the grass off as well as any bugs on her before walking around the moonlit garden.
"I will need to make dinner when i get home. Though I am tempted to swing by a late night ramen shop. But Kuro will want something too..."
Yunneth sighed, alone with her thoughts. She really didn't know what to do at this point. It is so late she wondered if she should just stay a while longer or just go home. Decisions like this were always difficult ones. Especially since she did not intend to fall asleep in the first place.
Not that Rurutie minded it, but to be honest, she was supposed to go to the botanical garden with her second eldest brother. They planned to take a walk around the garden while thinking of a gift for their eldest brother's upcoming birthday, but an unexpected event ruined their plan.
All of a sudden, someone called her brother. He said it was a client who wanted to talk about something extremely important, and then asked Rurutie to go to the garden alone. He promised he would catch her up as soon as he finished his business, but an hour has passed and he was nowhere to be seen. Yet.
I don't want to be suspicious, but, I wonder if this 'client' is actually one of those females who would do anything to be famous... Never actually know any of them, but I heard Kiuru talked about them quite a few times already, I think.
Rurutie sighed and looked towards the midnight sky for a moment. She had tried to contact her brother a few minutes ago, but her text messages didn't get any reply yet, and her calls were unanswered. Geez. What was he doing right now, I wonder? Don't tell me he ended up 'having fun' with a random girl.
"Stupid Kiuru."
The vampire girl muttered a curse under her breath and continued her stroll around the garden. Letting out another deep sigh, Rurutie looked around. She could see the green grass, as well as some blossoming plants, illuminated beautifully by the moonlight. She could also see some bugs flying around—for a moment, the vampire smiled a little before returning to her usual, almost stoic face when she saw another girl walking nearby.
"Oh, dear. I never thought I'd see someone else around at this hour," muttered the dark-haired vampire as she passed the other girl.

Yunneth continued to walk through the gardens, thinking about what to do now. Does she go home and pick up dinner on the way or just go straight home and cook to save money? She could just get something very cheap, right? But still she needed to keep an eye on her funds. The one advantage of being rich she did miss is not havineing to worry about funding. She could have a good meal instead of a cheap one but...she did not miss it. It was the convenienance that annoyed her more or less. As she walked she spied a girl from far away. Why was she here? It is late and you would think everyone would be in their homes, right? Of course, Yunneth is one to talk... "Strange..."
Yunneth thought to herself. Maybe she fell asleep and lost track of time too?! Then again what were the chances of Yunneth meeting someone who is just as careless as to sleep in public? And by accident, no less! She was tempted to go up and speak to the girl but she was unsure of how to proceed. Should she leave her alone or try to start a conversation? Perhaps ask if she is ok?
"Maybe I should just leave her alone."
With that last thought, Yunneth decided to leave the girl alone. Perhaps now she should leave and head home to make dinner. As she walked down the small stone stairs, Yunneth made one misstep before shrieking and falling forward. Now flat on the ground, Yunneth groaned.
If the other girl was a creature of the night, Rurutie would not be so surprised to saw her. But the raven-haired girl was nothing more than a human, and normally people would be sound asleep in their home around the time, so the vampire couldn't help but wondered about what she was doing. Rurutie did not bother to ask her, though, because: one, she was not someone who like to stick their nose in someone else's business; two, the girl seemed like she was on her way home; and three, Rurutie did not feel like talking to someone else at all. Not with this kind of mood.
The dark-haired vampire continued walking, her mind occupied with thoughts. About what the perfect gift for her eldest brother would be, what was her second eldest brother was doing at the moment, was he really doing business or was he ended up having fun with some random girls—no, she was not jealous or something. It just bothered her whenever Kiuru went out because sometimes he came home with such an intense woman's scent. It did not matter if he was just feeding on them, but the scent usually indicated that they were doing something else... Kiuru's lack of self-control is worrying, really. I really wonder if they are that kind of people he talk about every now and then.
All of sudden, Rurutie heard a noise coming from somewhere. At first she did not want to be concerned, but it was like a sound of someone hitting the ground, so she turned around to check what was actually happening. Apparently the girl she passed by not so long ago had fallen from the small stairs—Rurutie sighed as she walked up to the girl and asked, "Are you okay, I wonder?"
Even though she did not seem like it, nor her voice did not sound like it, Rurutie was concerned. A little bit. Just. A. Little. Bit.

Note: Sorry for the wait! My muse hasn't been cooperating with me...
Yunneth groaned, following with a slight whimper. She hurt her knee. And she just waned to lay on the ground for a moment.
"I...REALLY hate gravity."
Yunneth felt tears form. She wasn't going to bawl but it was just the pain that seemed to jerk a few tears from her eyes. When asked if she is ok, Yunneth nodded, slowly getting up from the ground.
"I'm ok. I'm just...gravity challenged."
She said, trying to make a joke to make herself feel better but with out much success. The raven took a deep breath, giving herself a moment to recompose herself. Yunneth looked at the girl in front of her. She seemed slender like herself and more mature looking. And inches taller than the raven as well. Yunneth began to dust herself off, catching a scrape on her knee.
"That's going to hurt for awhile..."
She commented, the lack of enthusiasm in her voice was enough proof to show she was not very happy about the outcome of the fall.
The dark-haired vampire tilted her head a little bit when she heard the human girl's answer. "Gravity—challenged?" In only a few seconds Rurutie shifted from being slightly concerned to slightly irritated. "Gravity challenged—you said?" She repeated the raven-haired human words once again. "You bloody fool. You—"
Tch. Silly human. Gravity challenged, huh? What a joke.
The vampire did not know how exactly it was happened, but she believed that the other girl was being a total klutz who did not really pay attention to where she walked so she fallen down from the stairs. Stupid. The cornflower blue-eyed girl sighed as the other girl dusted herself off, a quick glance informed her that the raven-haired had scraped her knee. It didn't look that bad, but the raven-haired girl said that it was going to be hurt for a while.
Without any question, Rurutie squatted to see how bad the human girl wounded herself actually. It wasn't that bad, indeed. When she touched the girl's knee, her finger only picked a small amount of blood. Other than that, the raven-haired girl only broke her skin—but that was the reason why it would hurt for a while. It was a common knowledge that shallow wound didn't mean it would hurt less than deep cut—both would be hurt of course, but sometimes shallow ones could be more painful especially when one got it on a particularly sensitive area of their body. Either way, the wound should be treated—
The young vampire instinctively licked her finger that touched the raven-haired girl's wound and frowned momentarily. S-sweet... However, her expression quickly returned to its default state as she looked up at the other girl and spoke, "Can you sit down for a while, I wonder? I'll treat your wound, I think."

"Fool? Come now, it is better to make a dumb joke than to sit on the ground sobbing about a skinned knee. Would you rather see me joking or sobbing like a baby?"
Yunneth stated as she forced a smile. She did admit, she wanted to cry. It really did hurt and if she had the option she would just sit there and sob but that would not do anything. Once she dusted herself off, the raven decided just to carry on her business and try not to trip on a pebble or something. Soon she noticed how the other girl studied the wound. Yunneth personally did not see it as something that needed to look at. It is a scrape, nothing more and nothing less. She gets cuts and bruises all the time due to her antics. When asked to sit down, Yunneth looked a little worried.
"Are you sure? I do not want to be of any trouble. Besides, it is only a scrape. I'm alright."
She is willing to sit down but she just didn't want to be a burden. Yunneth loathed feeling like she is in the way and she just worried she would be just that.
Rurutie sighed when the human girl said that it was better to make a dumb joke than to sit on the ground sobbing about her wounds. "There's nothing wrong with crying if there's a good reason for it, I think," was the vampire's answer when the girl asked her whether if she would rather see her joking or sobbing like a baby. It was not that Rurutie could not appreciate jokes, but for her the raven-haired's joke was not funny at all. And, no, it was not like Rurutie would enjoy seeing someone crying because she wounded herself. But if crying could make someone feel a little bit better, then why not? Although, admittedly, more often than not Rurutie herself tried her best not to cry in front of others. Most of the time she would endure it until she found a quiet, safe place to cry.
Makes me wonder if this girl's trying her best not to cry because I'm here...
"I'm pretty sure, I think," said Rurutie when the girl asked whether if she was sure about asking the raven-haired girl to sit down and treat her wound. When the girl said that it was merely a scrape and that she was alright, the vampire asked in return, "It's just a scrape, doesn't bleed much, yes, but is it really okay to left it untreated at all, I wonder? I wouldn't be pushy if you feel you're totally alright with the wound, though—I guess."
The dark-haired vampire wondered why the girl thought a scrape was nothing to be worried about. Sure, it did not look that bad and probably would heal itself in a matter of days, but would not it be better to at least clean and disinfect the wound? Well, admittedly, the vampire was a little bit tempted by the scent of the girl's blood. Good thing she was not feeling particularly ravenous today, that sugary sweet blood was not her favorite, and that she had pretty decent self-control. Otherwise she would just hold the girl firmly by her legs and lick her wounds clean even if only a very small amount of blood coming out from there.
Anyway... Did she noticed what I did earlier?

"Well I mean...you are right. But I don't want to cry over something so trivial as something as tripping. I mean...I actually do this quite often, Why cry over something that always happens?"
Yunneth questioned. Yeah, a tear or two formed in the corner of her eye but after a moment, it seemed as if the tears were drying and any pained expressions she was showing were no longer visible. Her knee still hurt but, Yunneth could be able to walk it off, acting as if nothing ever happened. When the girl wondered aloud if it is ok to leave the scrape untreated, Yunneth chuckled.
"I will be fine. As I said, I do this quite often when I am not paying attention. By now I am surprised my skin hasn't toughened up!"
The raven gave a chuckle, as if trying to make a joke though a very weak one. After a moment, Yunneth looked at the girl before her. She seemed to be thinking about something.
"You okay? You look as if you are dazing out a little..."
The young vampire gave out a deep sigh when the other girl said that she didn't want to cry over something trivial because she tripped herself quite often. "I see," Rurutie muttered, silently wondering how often such a thing actually happened to the human girl. And if it's that often, I wonder, just how clumsy she is?
Rurutie gave out another sigh when the raven-haired girl chuckled as a response to her question about leaving her scrape untreated. The girl said that she would be fine since it happened quite often when she was not paying attention—Rurutie could not help but quietly said, "What a klutz," and sighed again.
The dark-haired vampire did not respond to the other girl's joke about toughened skin despite the fact that it was still not funny, as her mind suddenly wondered about the latter's way of thinking. Alright, maybe it was just her who was being worried—and admittedly, slightly tempted—but, really, was the raven-haired that okay with letting her scrape untreated? Or, did she noticed how Rurutie looked at her scrape, touched it, and sampled the very small amount of blood that came out?
She kept silent for a while until the raven-haired girl's voice came from seemingly nowhere, asking whether if Rurutie is okay, since to her she looked as if she dazed out a little. Eh? Did I?
"Uh, I'm okay—I guess," the vampire responded as she blinked. "W-well, if you really are fine with that scrape untreated, then I will leave you be, I guess," she added a moment later as she stood up from the ground.
"Next time be careful and pay good attention to your surroundings. You'll never know when you'll get something worse than a scrape when you fall, I think."

[ @eternalprincess | words | NOTES: I am so sorry this took so long.]
Yunneth knew she is a klutz. Did she care though? Not at all. In her mind, she would trip and fall on her knees or butt from time to time. As long as she doesn't break anything she could care less. Besides, she had other things she cared more about. When the girl before her told her she would leave her be, Yunneth smiled.
"Thank you for your concern though miss..."
Oh...right. She never got this girls name. For a moment she was about to call her by name though it finally occurred to her that the two have not introduced themselves. Before she could ask for a name, Yunneth chuckled. Geez...how many times has she been told this? It wasn't that she didn't care or that she would allow it to go through one ear and out the other. Yunneth just...forgot. And quite often. It could be said that she does not care too much about her own safety.
"I can not promise you I will pay attention but I will at least try."
The raven-haired human girl thanked Rurutie for her concern. Admittedly, the young vampire was not that concerned. Just a little bit, perhaps. And a little bit tempted as well. However, that did not stop her from giving the human an advice that could be useful. Even though I’m not sure if we will ever meet again someday, I definitely wouldn’t like to see her being a total klutz again. Wait, why do I care?
“No need to thank me,” said Rurutie in a rather flat tone. The other girl’s sentence was kind of unfinished, as if she wanted to mention or probably ask Rurutie’s name—ah, yes, they had not introduced themselves before. But before the cornflower blue-eyed vampire could say anything else, the raven-haired responded to her advice to be careful, saying that she could not promise Rurutie but she would at least try to pay attention to her surroundings.
Well, I don’t need promises, honestly, but—
“That is good enough, I guess,” responded Rurutie, her voice was kind of soft yet still monotonous at the moment. “At least you will try, that’s what counts, I think.”
A tiny smile formed on Rurutie’s lips. Really, if the raven-haired girl is going to try and be more careful after this, then it would be good enough. Now, since the human girl is alright—according to herself at least—perhaps it would be fine if Rurutie excused herself and continue her stroll. No, she was not going to wait for her brother anymore—at this point she did not care about his whereabouts and/or what he was doing. She just wanted to walk around for a while and then go home. As simple as that.
“Well then.” The young vampire spoke again before she turned away. “I shall be going now, I think. Take care and farewell—”

Yunneth could not help but wonder if she said something odd or wrong. Such a flat tone. Was this girl usually so stoic? But at least she seemed content with the raven's response. What a mysterious person. Were there other people like her? And though she was one to talk, she was curious as to why she was out here at this time of night. Certainly there must be a reason, right? Of course it is none of her business of course. But healthy curiosity never hurt anyone. Yunneth's train of thought was lost when the other girl announced that she would be leaving.
"W-wait!"
She exclaimed. Though she did not mean to be so loud but is simply excited. Yunneth fumbled around with her words until she found what she wanted to ask.
"May I get your name? We never had the chance to introduce ourselves. My name is Yunneth Sinclaire. And I want to say thank you for your concern moments ago.
Rurutie was already walking away a few steps when the other girl called out to her. The young vampire stopped and looked back at the raven-haired girl with a questioning look in her eyes. The girl asked whether if she could get her name—oh, right, Rurutie just remembered that they did not know each other’s name—they had never mentioned about them at all. Though, to be fair, the vampire with cornflower blue eyes could not care less if she did not get the other girl’s name at all. It’s not that important, honestly.
“Yunneth.” The vampire girl repeated the other girl’s name with a low voice. “The name is Miyazawa, Rurutie—Rurutie is enough, I think.” A moment after that she let out a sigh and said, “I did tell you that there’s no need to thank me, right?”
No, it was not that Rurutie did not appreciate the girl’s thank or something. She was just feeling a little bit—oh, to be honest she did not know how to properly explain how she felt except for the fact that she thought it was not really necessary to thank her. I was not that concerned—perhaps ‘strange’ is the best way to summarize this feeling.
“Well then,” she spoke again as she turned her back again and excused herself for the second time, “Farewell, Yunneth. Take care of yourself.”
A few steps, before the young vampire stopped for a second and tilted her head a little bit to glance at Yunneth. “Try not to fall too often, perhaps?”
There was a tiny smile on Rurutie’s face before she continued to be on her way. The night was just beginning for her, so she might continue to take a stroll around the botanical garden for a few hours more. No, don’t talk about her second eldest brother—she’s still trying to forget him for the time being.

Yunneth smiled. As much as she wanted to try and get to know the girl in front of her, she figured she wanted to get back to wandering the garden. Yes...she was sure of that. Besides, she has to get home and make herself some dinner. Plus Kuro gets antsy when she is away for too long. The last thing she needed was him ripping her curtains off the wall...again.
"I will take care and you do the same. Also I am not THAT bad...am I?"
She questioned herself before nodding. Yup...she is that bad. Well that answered that. Yunneth bowed then waved as she made her way out of the gardens. Rurutie. She seems like a mysterious girl and kind too though she did not notice the other sample some of her blood earlier. She also did not seem like the type to be socializing. Oh well...that is alright. Yunneth smiled, ear to ear, on her way home. Wondering if she and Rurutie would cross paths again in the near future.
