Jen is all about friends, whether spending time with old ones or going out to make new ones. She takes a while to actually consider somebody as such, but once you’re considered a friend, you may as well be family; she’ll stand up for you if she catches wind that anyone’s doing you wrong, and has a tendency to offer to share food with you as a gesture of closeness. Of course, she also likes to be a “bad influence” and enjoys indulging her less experienced friends in their firsts - first time drinking, first time skinny dipping, etc. - so it helps to be open-minded. Her best friends are ones who have proven to be loyal, non-judgmental, and have a sense of humor - Jen is a big fan of giving nicknames and doling out playful teasing to show affection.

Truthfully, although Jen is a hopeless flirt, she’s wary of getting involved in romantic relationships because she’s so often had to pick up and move. If she’s interested in someone, she’ll make a concerted effort to spend time with them - everything from more teasing, to a notable increase in (and greater gentleness of) physical affection, sunny smiles, and even genuine compliments - and wears her heart on her sleeve. However, this dhampir is stubborn at times, and even if it’s painfully obvious that she’s got feelings for someone, she tends to deny it, whether vehemently, or (gasp!) sheepishly. It’s not out of the realm of possibility for her to develop a deeper affection for someone that she starts out with casually, but all in all she would prefer to keep things light… at least for the time being.

You’d be hard-pressed to make an enemy of Jen. Although she is friendly and generally forgiving, the quickest way to find your name on her shit list is not to mess with her, but to mess with the people she considers close to her. She has no tolerance for bullies, but isn’t all that keen on underhanded methods like slander or sabotage - she’d much rather settle things with direct confrontation, and isn’t afraid to resort to blows if things get physical (in fact, part of her would sometimes rather duke it out, but that’s neither here nor there). Beware! Jen has a streak of sadism and if pushed too far, is just as capable of cruelty as her pure-blooded kin.
