There were days when Rurutie wanted to be more outgoing, brave—as in truly brave—and explore the world on her own. This day was an example of that: she told her eldest brother she was going to go out somewhere that probably was not going to be the botanical garden, the public park, or the public library. None of the places she usually goes to—perhaps not even the forest or countryside. She did not have an idea herself except that she wanted to visit a new place. Somewhere totally unfamiliar for her—though maybe not too crowded or noisy, since she still could not control herself in those situations for some reasons. But perhaps it wouldn’t be a bad idea either. I must try and face my problems, right?
After some deliberation, the young vampire decided to take a bus. Since she wanted to visit a new place, she took a random one—intentionally not really caring about where she would end up. Luckily the bus Rurutie hopped on to was not really crowded, so the dark-haired vampire did not experienced any sudden anxiety attack. Even when she decided to hop off the bus at a random stop, Rurutie was still feeling good. She happened to get down at the same time a bunch of people get on the bus, yet she swore that has nothing to do with her, but a mere coincidence.
The cornflower blue-eyed girl then took a walk from the bus stop. Again, she picked quite a random path following her heart. She really did not know where she was going, she just kept on walking and walking down the streets until she reached a certain fenced area with some distinct red lights.
This is… The red light district? Wait a minute—don’t tell me I’m lost.
The vampire gulped at the thought of getting totally lost. She did not plan this at all, seriously. All of a sudden, the feel of insecurity enveloped her. If this is really the red light district, that explains those salacious looks some men gave me just recently. This is bad, I must go back—
Just as Rurutie was about to turn, she felt her derrière being groped by someone. In an instant, the vampire’s cheek turned a deep red out of embarrassment and anger. Without even looking at the person who was harassing her, Rurutie spoke in a cold tone. “How filthy.”
Unfortunately, the man kept touching her while saying, “You looked like as if you’re enjoying it, though, sweetie.” Then he added in a whisper as he embraced the young vampire’s shoulder, “How about the two of us having a fun night together?”
Rurutie yanked the male’s hand swiftly and turned. “How about… No!” And there goes her hand, flying across the—apparently—human’s face. Before the male human could even respond, the young vampire quickly teleported herself somewhere else. Alas, she ended up somewhere inside the red light district. Worse, she was right in front of a building which was clearly marked as an adult shop.
Call me crazy But you don't look The type Dear Girl
The night was young, and Ninette was on her third client already. The pauses, however slight she felt that they were in time, were blissful in a way that she wondered if it were ever possible again. She was able to breathe in those pauses, light up a cigarette or chew a piece of gum without a care in the world before someone tapped at her window to see if she was there or not. It was a consolation to have any time to herself at all, but money was needed to live in this sort of world. So she had to put out that cigarette, or pop that bubble one last time before she perfumed her body again and opened the door with a smile on her face. When the third arrived, there was more than just the one, but she was willing to work with it for the price she had in mind.
It didn't take long to have them all reach for the stars and say their prayers. Ninette was good at her work, and praised herself a little on it. She enjoyed this work, despite the eyes others gave her when she walked into her "shop" and the whispers she could hear when she strutted out of it. Most of the time, she payed little to all of it, as it was easy for her to forget everything around her and to lose herself in her thoughts, but there were other times that her heart beat a little faster in the worry that she was doing something wrong. This was her livelihood, and she loved to be good at it.
When they were all finished, and she was paid handsomely, she gave them each kisses and a card to remember her by. If they had needs to be met, on their own or as a group again, she was indeed willing and able. They left happily, and Ninette was back to chewing gum and wiggling her toes while sitting in front of the window after a long hot shower. She took to watching people more than she did beckoning customers; if they wanted to come in and see her then they would give her a look and know that it was Ninette to take care of them, but if they didn't well...that was their choice too. She wasn't going to starve or go hungry with the money she made night after night and spent sensibly.
As Ninette let the people pass her shop, she thought on how the rest of the day might play out when a girl appeared right in front of her window. Ninette was certain that she wasn't there in the last few moments that she sat down in her bralette and short shorts, chewing absently on some gum while half wishing for customers to check her out and not. She blinked straight at the girl before getting to her feet and opening the door to give her a good look. She looked from the girl to the people around, and they too were beginning to wonder.
"Well that isn't something you see every day. Um, may I help you?"

Great. The young vampire was looking for a new experience by trying to go out somewhere else different than usual and she ended up in the red light district. Is there anything more awesome than this? Oh, ignore the sarcasm.
But seriously, this was a disaster. Perhaps Rurutie should not be too random in doing things when she felt like trying something new or else she would end up like this—before she went out of her mansion she felt pretty much content, but now she felt somewhat uncomfortable and possibly a little bit confused.
I swear next time I’ll have better plan—perhaps try to go to the zoo or the beach? Oh, well.
The dark-haired girl looked at the other people around. She knew they wondered why there was a girl appearing out of nowhere, and it made her feel even more uncomfortable. She tried her best not to show it, though maybe it was not much of a success since she almost jumped when a voice called out to her, asking whether if there they could help her.
Rurutie looked at the beautiful young woman who was talking to her for a few seconds before trying to respond, “Uh. Uhm… I—I—” Alas, she could not find a word as the blood raised to both cheeks. The situation was a little bit embarrassing, to be honest. She could not simply said she failed at teleporting, could she? After all, she was not thinking at all when she teleported herself away from the male assaulter. All I thought was to get away somewhere... But then I ended up here of all places.
“N-nothing. I—I’m just—n-nothing, I guess!” Rurutie claimed as she tried to avoid other people’s gaze.

Call Me Crazy But you don't seem the type dear girl
"You're just nothing?"
Ninette cocked her head to the side as she took in the appearance of the girl because giggling a little. She couldn't very well just leave her out on her own like this. Although the circumstances of how she came to be precisely in front of her door seemed odd, Ninette wasn't about to push the girl for information. After dealing with many of the customers that she did, it was always best just to pretend she saw nothing. However, she didn't think it was right for this girl to be out here in the Red Light District of all places.
"Are you curious or did you get lost? Do you need something?"
This was just about one of the strangest encounters she'd had since running her small business. As Ninette was questioning the girl, she heard a few boisterous men parading the streets and eagerly looking for a good time. Without missing a beat, Ninette dragged the girl inside of the shop and sighed heavily.
"I promise as soon as they're gone, you can leave. I would rather a pretty one like you not have to deal with people like those." She chewed her gum, blew a small bubble, and then popped it as if it would reiterate her point.
