Raven seemed a little bit disappointed when Rurutie mentioned that she was a third-year student. Apparently the black-haired female was a second-year student, and she was hoping that probably both of them would share a class together. Although Rurutie did not really care whether if Raven was in the same year or in a totally different year and class as herself, somehow she could understand if Raven was kind of let down at the fact that they were in different years. Sometimes students from the same year but different classes share a class together, but sharing a class between different years was pretty much rare.
“Well… It’s rare, but perhaps we will share a class together someday if that’s what you’re hoping for,” responded the young vampire rather nonchalantly. Though, of course, they did not have to depend on a class if they really wanted to spend a time together and getting to know each other. From Rurutie’s side, at least, there was this one side that believed this might be just a coincidental meeting and perhaps she would not meet Raven ever again, but another side believed that they could possibly meet again somewhere. And this part of her wanted to know Raven better and befriend her, despite the other part telling her that she should not be too attached to someone. Not even a friend.
I know, you can’t trust someone else so easily. Yet I wanted one or two very close, trusted friends I can share these secrets with…
Rurutie let out a sigh as she looked up at the sky again, momentarily. When Raven snapped her fingers and asked Rurutie whether if the young vampire go to the cafe sometimes, she turned back to the other female, shook her head slowly and said, “Uh… Not really, I guess. Unless at least one of my brothers asked me to go with them, I wouldn’t go to a cafe, I guess.”
The dark-haired vampire had no intention of making Raven disappointed by saying that. She merely stated a fact that she is very rarely go to a cafe. It was nothing, but she preferred her maids’ cooking, even though she knew she could try something different and unique at a cafe. Moreover, she could eat in peace at home, while eating out sometimes make her feel uneasy, especially if the place she was eating at was a little bit crowded and busy.

It was some sort of hope at the least, but not exactly for Raven. Being in class with a student of another year is still rare, but still, even the rarest things can happen in the most unexpected times. In conclusion, the vampire gave out a shrug to Rurutie.
Great. Rurutie doesn’t really go to the cafe. She really is an extreme introvert. Not exactly what Raven looks for in a person to befriend with. If she dares attempt to, it might be rather difficult to get the girl out into the world if she’s like this very often. Well, it can’t be helped that much...or can it? It shouldn’t hurt to try and take her out, should it? But what if Rurutie says no? The vampire has to remind herself that they’ve only just met, and like Hell she’s going to invite Rurutie to her place. It even sounds creepy to even ask if she can hang out at her’s.
“Well, I mean it never hurts to go out, sometimes.” Raven sighed. Admittedly, she’s at the point of giving up on Rurutie. She seems nice and all, but she’s too introverted to her taste, and this conversation is at the point of going nowhere.
“I mean, if you want, we can hang out over there when there’s little to no people around. That way you don’t feel so crowded or anything.” If Raven knows some introverts, they usually find it draining when there are too many people, or just going out for too long, or in general.
To be fair, Rurutie herself was not really hopeful about sharing a class with Raven, and she did not know why she mentioned about the chance. I was just—well, I don’t know. It’s hard to explain.
Speaking about going out to a cafe, in all honesty, the cornflower blue-eyed young woman really did not want to disappoint Raven. She was just telling the truth, hinting at the fact that she did not really like to go outside except when the situation is right. Though, if you asked the dark-haired vampire, there were times when she wants to be a little bit more outgoing and brave, like her former self—around two hundred and sixty years ago she was not as introverted as her current self. She kept some things to herself and preferred the comfort of her home, but she still went out sometimes. Hell, she even went around old Edo all by herself.
But then something happened, and it changed Rurutie to what she was currently—an extreme introvert who always feeling conflicted. Wishing to be fully independent and brave at one side, yet cynical and reluctant at the other side. No, the reason of that change was not only her mother’s death and her step-mother’s treatment to her. There was something else quite traumatic that made Rurutie really uncomfortable within crowds—wait, ‘uncomfortable’ probably was an understatement. The vampire has a phobia of crowds, especially big ones—that’s why she tried to avoid crowded places as much as she could. She can tolerate the school somehow, and she knew when places like the park, botanical gardens, or public library would be pretty much quiet, but other places? Nah, better avoid them.
“Yeah, perhaps,” was Rurutie’s reply when Raven told her that it never hurted to go out at times. She knew the black-haired female was right in a sense, but the thought of being in a busy cafe—if they happened to be in one, though there was also the chance of being in a quiet one—made her feel uncomfortable, somehow.
When Raven mentioned about hanging out at the cafe when there was little to no people around, the dark-haired female fell silent for a few seconds. What if the cafe become overflowed with people all of a sudden while we’re hanging out there?
But, uh, perhaps it’s not that bad to try.
“Sounds like a good idea,” the young vampire said after letting out a small sigh. “I’ll think about it, I guess.”
She was still unsure, but, yeah, perhaps it was an idea worth trying.

Well the result went somewhere. Not by much, but it still went somewhere; in a positive but not-so hopeful way.
Once again, Raven does find Rurutie a possibly nice person, but because of her extreme introvert behavior, the chances of friendship between the two is slim. It’s not that the vampire hates introverts, she respects them but right now, she needs extroverts in her life. Extroverts that can inspire and motivate her; Rurutie is not that sort of person.
Of course, she’s not gonna back down on her word of taking the blue-eyed girl to the cafe at around the latest or the earliest, but hopefully a better conversation will happen and prove the vampire wrong about having just an acquaintanceship, instead of a full-on friendship.
“Well uh, great.” Raven scratched the back of her head. At least she got something out of her, for now. But with that, she stood up, stretching her arms and made a decision,
“I’d best be taking my leave. I feel better now than I did a while ago.” She gave out a smile to Rurutie, “Thank you for sticking around at my side, I’m going to be heading home for the night.”
Before she went off, she gave Rurutie her phone number; just like how Yunneth did with her the first time they met.
