Nasain walked down the street slowly. It was late in the afternoon and quite honestly, he felt exhausted from all the walking he did during the day. He looked around and saw something that caught his attention: A lovely mansion with quite the outer decor. He couldn't help but walk towards the building, staring as he usually would a piece of art.
He stopped when he reached the fountain in the front, and he couldn't help but stare in awe. He knelt down and put his fingers in the cool water before looking back up at the building in front of him. How old was it? What did it look like on the inside? Those and many other questions flew through the young one's mind as he took another step toward the building.
He then froze. He realized something important. He trespassed on the property with no invitation. Turning around quickly, he began to walk back out the gate, chewing on his lip. He stopped once he reached the gate and turned to look over his shoulder, almost longingly. He NEVER saw a house this beautiful. At least, not to his recollection.
Diurnal course of the hours ticked of the dance practice ticked on slowly as his moves were watched in the large mirror on the far side of the wall, corrected in turn and done again in tow of perfection. It all had to be absolutely perfect for his performance, he couldn't just disappoint all the adoring fans. Not that they could find any of Kou's faults from behind the bubbly manners and charismatic smile. The limo pulled up the trail leading up to the manor. Gathering his things, he swung his legs out from the open door and into standing on the sidewalk just before the property gate. Kou stretched his arms over his head before starting the trek up to the house.
A few steps away from being able to relax and take a brief nap. Soon, as soon as he got to through the door and to the couch; whether that savage was plopped against it or not. He was going to be used as his pillow right then.
Coming up near the gate to the manor, the blond noted someone that wasn't his brothers skulking about. "Eh? Who is that...?" He muttered to himself, narrowing his eyes as he drew closer to the male standing glancing over his shoulder back at the large manor. A few steps more and he stopped walking just close enough so he was audible and his voice carrying, chiming and sudden.
"Y'know, if you stand here long enough, you might be able to catch a glimpse of the inside."
[attr="class","textieno"]It’s been a long night, dead actually.[break][break]
In his quarters, Ruki remains sitting on his armchair and reading the book that he always carries in his hands; the memento of his father. No matter how many times he’s already read it, word from word, and memorizing every sentence that was written, the eldest Mukami always reads it from the beginning, to the end.[break][break]
His eyes then caught a glimpse of the limo pulling up on the trail that leads to the manor, through his bedroom window. Obviously, the signal of his younger brother, Kou’s return. With him back, the manor’s guaranteed going to be less silent, or at least not-so dead. Most times, the idol makes the mansion a bit lively, mostly due to his music or just teasing his brothers. Other times, it can be too lively, as in rowdy. Those are times Ruki hates to tolerate, he always has to put his brother on check on keeping things down; main reason is that it breaks his concentration.[break][break]
From partial view, Ruki can see Kou’s blond hair as he came out of the limo. Then again, Kou in general is very noticeable. It’s not only just the blond hair, or his recognizable idol face, but also his vibrant attire (not that Ruki plans to complain, or anything) that makes him very easy to spot. Taking another glance out, Ruki began to watch his brother coming by, along with seeing some other silhouette near the manor’s fountain. At first, he didn’t take much mind to it and went to continue reading until in a half-second, he realized there’s another silhouette at the grounds.[break][break]
He shot a look at the other being outside; a trespasser of some sort? Surely, Kou didn’t bring them along as he did partially see the idol only coming out of the limo. Whoever this person is, they’ve made a mistake coming by here.[break][break]
Closing his book, Ruki stood up from his armchair, sighing about having to get some things “settled”. There better be some great explanation about why this person is here, or at least what business they have for being at the Mukami mansion.[break][break]
Since the family are vampires, Ruki took the benefit on teleporting himself, instead of having to walk through the whole mansion. He calmly made his way nearby the fountain, getting a closer look of the trespasser, and Kou standing in the distance.[break][break]
“What’s the meaning of this?” He spoke up. For him, it’s settle this now than never. He glared at the unfamiliar male,[break][break]
Being so caught up in the sights of the house, Nasain neglected to hear the limo pull up and the male step out. Therefore it was with a surprised yelp he turned to see the blond. The first thing he noticed about the other, those blue eyes and his vibrant outfit. Was this guy some sort of celebrity? He sure looked like it. "I'm s-sorry for-"
He jumped when he heard the sudden voice behind him, turning to look at the other male who seemingly came out of nowhere. This male looked much more intimidating to the blue haired photographer, causing him to grip his camera tightly. "I'm s-sorry, sir. I didn't mean to trespass, I just...." He looked back at the house, eyes sparkling a bit. "The mansion is gorgeous." He complimented looking back at him.
"O-Oh. My sincerest apologies, I'm Nasain Deluna, traveling painter and photographer." He bowed to the male. With the glare the other gave him, he sensed maybe he made a big mistake coming through the gates. He looked between the two men before looking back at Ruki. "I didn't mean any harm, I promise. I'll leave right now if you wish." He added.
He chewed his bottom lip slightly. If his tail had been present at the current moment, it would be curled between his legs. Not being the confrontational type, Nasain preferred flight to fight. However, these two seemed much more.... capable than most. They almost reminded him of his brother Samuel, except his brother would be cracking his knuckles and snarling, giving some sort of signal he was preparing to pounce. These two gave no signal, but he had a feeling he do the wrong thing he would regret it.
Kou flashed the male a smile, noting the change his face. Had he recognized him from some place? A fan that managed to follow him or get the jump on before he could even realise. This male was here before, he could assume, he got out of the limo but before he could ask the question he was glancing over to the voice of his older brother. To the point and taking the fun out of it, as always as he appeared the way the all do; seemingly out of nowhere.
"Ahh, Ru~ki taking the fun of asking him the roundabout questions." Kou pouted over at Ruki and taking a step to look over the male whom introduced himself as Nasain. Not that he was really intrigued by the name of something foreign and almost odd about it but, this one seemed fun to play some kind of guessing game with. Almost but something else might been more entertaining, with how this may turn out.
"A painter and a photographer? Hm?" The blond asked, now moving to drape his arms around Nasain's shoulders and slightly leaning against him. With a momentarily glancing to Ruki, Kou looked back to the object of his momentary affection.
"Ne! Maybe Ruki wouldn't mind if you painted our house. Right, Ruki? It wouldn't be so much of a problem now would it?" He asked, flashing the never wavering smile at his brother, not that it would do much but it would get some answer. The smile twitched for a moment, almost threatening to fall from the pristine features at the scent he picked up from the male under the weight of his arms but that could have been anything vaguely familiar at this point of time.
"This way he can stay longer and ad-mi-re this piece of art we call home, mmhm!"
[attr="class","textieno"]Unlike most pathetic people who merely apologized to Ruki, this Nasain person is rather respectful, at the very least. He even sounded honest, despite the nervous tension he got out of him. Then again, he usually gets that reaction from most people he’s encountered with. All in all however, the boy should’ve watched where he was going.[break][break]
Before the eldest could make a comment towards him, his brother Kou butts in with the usual teasing. Always about how much of a killjoy he can be, when he brings up the questions.[break][break]
“It is only because I am trying to settle this, Kou.” He glared at the blond. Taking care of business has always been one of the most important priorities for Ruki. Why else would someone with a camera be here? To spy on the family and find something suspicious? Better safe, than sorry.[break][break]
So the boy’s a photographer and a painter, and it seems as though the Mukami manor had caught the artist’s eye in appeal. They can thank Karlheinz for that, honestly. He did after all, took the Mukami brothers under his wing and grant them a second chance for a better life,[break][break]
...and vengeance upon the world.[break][break]
Once again, Kou and his playful self, giving off that cheeky smile to him, resulting in the eldest to roll his eyes. As if Kou’s making an attempt to persuade him on letting Nasain stay around the grounds. It’s not that Ruki found it annoying, he has tolerated with that personality since day one. It’s the fact that he’s going to do this at this time, which is not what he needs right now.[break][break]
Crossing his arms and sighing, Ruki drew his eyes to his brother again,[break][break]
“Do not speak for me, Kou. I’m the only one who confirms on what I think.”[break][break]
His slate eyes turned to stare at Nasain and his default face expression remains. Whether the boy means no harm, or not, it’s still risky to keep him around for awhile longer. Unless he’ll be good for a special snack, after dinner. On the other hand, it may be riskier to let him go off. Nasain knows where they live, and none of the Mukamis have the power to make their victims forget everything.[break][break]
As Ruki thinks about it, there are many outcomes to this. In fact, they could be good or bad. Good, as long as Nasain is secretive. Bad, for many things that can have them exposed...and many victims, in result. But Ruki is rather cunning, he can make this have a good outcome; he would need to strategize it. Besides, Nasain doesn’t know that they’re vampires, and they had once lived a “human” life before, making themselves blend with the crowd.[break][break]
Much to his irritation, Ruki made his decision,[break][break]
“You can do what you desire, but that’s all. No more, no less. Once you’re finished, I expect you to be gone.”
With the other practically draping himself over the bluenette, Nasain couldn't help but lean forward a bit. He looked between the two curiously. Were they family? Old friends? He couldn't tell exactly, but they obviously lived together. As the prospect of him painting the house came up, he visibly perked up, not physically though, as that would result in him bumping heads with the blond literally.
When the other responded the way he did, Nasain had his answer. 'Brothers. No doubt.' He thought to himself as he listened to the other. The darker haired male seemed to be the eldest and 'leader' of the two. He could almost see the cogs turning in the other male's head as he thought over his answer.
Nasain was by no means a quick artist. He'd be there a while if they did indeed let him paint the house. However, due to how the two in front, well one in front, one on top of him, were acting, he'd work as quickly as possible. He chewed his lip before the other finally answered.
He perked up and nodded. "Of course! I'll be out as soon as finished I promise! And I promise to let you know when I'm here and not step on the grounds unless someone allows me!" He grinned widely. This was an opportunity of a life time for Nasain, to be allowed to paint such a house! He would have bowed if the blond hadn't been on his shoulders.
Kou had withdrawn from the being rested upon the smaller, giggling lightly in some amusement at how easily the elder had let the other stay. “Ahh, Ru~k I wasn’t speaking for you, just making a… suggestion. ~” He teased once more before stepping to walk over to him. He didn’t blame Ruki for being suspicious wanting the other gone after he was done with whatever it was he had planned. Exhibit the house in a painting? Maybe, if he was paying attention rather than wondering: if he were a spy wouldn’t he have taken pictures already?
Did he actually care? If they wanted pictures, Kou being the famous idol that he was, had many to spare and didn’t really care if he gave them away. More means for his career, in a good way. It could have been bad if there was a chance of being exposed to his fans, there would be more bodies than he would have liked to create. But they would get there, when they got there. “Not a very grateful… pup, are you?” He smiled, looking over the blue haired male again and jostling the small bag around his shoulder. At the near drop of a hat, his smile nearly disappeared into shock at Ruki’s agreeance to letting him stay and paint the house.
This was a near – first. And only with a small condition. Kou casted a glance to Ruki, skeptical to what he was trying to gain from this—if there was anything for him to—nevertheless the idol was sure there had to be something else.
“I can watch him while he’s here since I am free from my very busy life ne.”
[attr="class","textieno"]Ruki could only glare at his brother before looking at Nasain. The end of his teasing would be very much appreciated right now, as the eldest as no time for it, at all. “Whatever.” He dismissed the idol, rolling his eyes and slowly shaking his head, after.[break][break]
“Not a very grateful… pup, are you?”[break][break]
“Don’t think these pictures are always about you, Kou. Considering if he’s even one of your fans.” The vampire crossed his arms. He knows that Kou isn’t that really conceited, or anything. Not like a certain Sakamaki who claims he’s the best (though he’s actually the worst). Last thing the Mukamis need to hear is this Nasain boy, exposing the idol, badly. Though the boy hasn’t been giving off that vibe at all. More than likely because of the nervous tension he’s giving out from seeing the two older Mukamis.[break][break]
Nasain seemed pretty excited to be given the opportunity that no one would ever get. The vampire sighed in annoyance, though relieved that this was settled easier than expected, and sure of the boy’s word that he will leave premises immediately.[break][break]
Ruki turned heel, and he began to walk forth. He may as well let his brother take care of this. It’s less work for him. He slightly turned his head back towards the blond. “Do whatever you like, Kou. I’m going back to my studies. If he does anything that’s off-putting, you know what to do.” He trusts his brother to be the watchman of Nasain. Yes, despite always being a tease and all sorts to Ruki, that doesn’t mean they distrust each other, by any means. The Mukamis have a strong brotherly bond, no matter how different they really are, personality wise.[break][break]
He also did take mind of Kou calling the boy a “pup”. Definitely, Ruki did take notice that Nasain has much of a different scent, comparing to most humans he’s been around at school. It wouldn’t be a surprise if the boy’s different from everyone. Surely with someone this timid, the eldest Mukami doubts that Nasain will even attack Kou, or even make a scratch on the idol. He probably is just an ordinary pup, than something to be feared.
