Right, so, sometimes people will have questions about things.

It's only natural, and we as staff do our best to cover things ahead of time, but we're only human most of the time, at least and we'll miss stuff. That said, we'll try to provide some FAQs, and we'll try to post questions that have already been asked and answered (with personal or identifying information removed, of course, if applicable) and might be of help to others.



Q: What size are the avatar and mini profile hover images?

A: The avatar image should be 100x100 pixels, and the mini profile hover images are 250x350 pixels.



Q: How do I get music onto my mini profile?

A: First, you'll need to upload the music file (preferably an mp3) to kiwi6 (hyperlinked) or a similar music hosting site. Then, you go into your Profile and go to Edit Profile > Personal. You should see a section that says, Music with a fill-in-the-blank. Go to the page with your uploaded music file and copy the Direct Hotlink. Paste that into the blank under Music in your profile editing tab, and save. From there, you should be good to go!



Q: Does the site support hover templates?

A: Yes, we do support hover templates!



Q: What's this about on-site money?

A: Don't worry, you don't spend any physical money to accumulate it; all you need to do is be active and post, post, post! You'll get a certain amount of money for each post you make, and it adds up! You can use this money to buy things like species changes or blood re-rolls.



Q: Where do I get one of those fancy posting templates everyone else is using?

A: There are a number of sites around Proboards that feature user-created templates to choose from! The most well-known include Gangnam Style, Template Headquarters, and Pixel Perfect . You'll need to create an account with these sites to access the templates, but that only takes about five minutes or so, and it's worth it! And if you want to play around with them before you implement them, you're always welcome to make a thread just for coding, in the Coding Grounds (hyperlinked).



Q: How long do our posts have to be?

A: For normal threading, we ask that you write at least 150-200 words. Once in a while you may come up a couple words short, and that's fine, but try to aim for this range i.e. don't make the short posts a habit. There is no maximum word count, though also try not to go overboard! However, for things like social media/blog/text/call threads, you can make them as long or as short as you'd like (Twitter posts sure as Hell aren't gonna get 150 words in 'em, that's for sure!)



Q: How big can our signature images be?

A: You are allowed a signature image of any width as long as it fits in the final post. However, we ask that it be no more than 200px high. This is not to limit your creative expression, but some of the large images take a lot of attention away from the posts themselves.



Q: I have a character in mind, but I don't know who to use for a face claim?

A: Proboards has at least one forum specifically for face claims! Face in the Crowd (hyperlinked) has a multitude of animanga and RL face claims, though we do ask that you use animanga characters here.



Q: I'm new to RPing or I feel like I'm stagnating/need new ideas, can you help me out?

A: Springhole (hyperlinked) has a section specifically for writing/role playing! We're considering making a resources section for more of these helpful links, but for now, they're here!



Q: How do we format the height and weight of our character?

A: Please don't go beyond the tenths place when entering decimal numbers. As in, if you get 64.4101165 kilograms for the weight (before you look it up, that's 142lbs), you only need to write it as 64.4kg or even just 64kg. Same with heights in cm.
